The 11th EDCTP Forum will take place in Paris from 7-10 November 2023 with theme 'Partnering for Global Health Research Innovation and Impact in Africa – Celebrating EDCTP: two decades and beyond'. This Forum will mark EDCTP’s 20th Anniversary and will be hosted by the French Research Agency ANRS | Emerging Infectious Diseases and is supported by the EDCTP2 programme & the Global Health EDCTP3 Joint Undertaking (GH EDCTP3 JU).
A call for abstracts is now open for submission with a deadline on 3 May 2023.
A call for nominations for the 2023 EDCTP Prizes is now open and individuals are invited to apply by 31 May 2023.

Background: The European & Developing Countries Clinical Trials Partnership (EDCTP) is a public-public partnership between countries in Europe and sub-Saharan Africa, supported by the European Union. The Global Health EDCTP3 Joint Undertaking (GH EDCTP3 JU) builds on the first and second European and Developing Countries Clinical Trials Partnership programmes. This new joint undertaking is a partnership between the EU and the EDCTP Association, whose members are several European and African countries.

The ROOT project obtained funding under Horizon 2020 topic ‘EGNSS applications fostering societal resilience and protecting the environment’. The project, which ran from November 2020 to July 2022, aimed to demonstrate the benefit of Galileo OSNMA signal to increase the robustness of critical telecom infrastructures.
The Flanders-based company Septentrio contributed substantially to completing this objective together with the other ROOT partners. The results of the project partially close a gap in the security of telecommunication networks dependent on satellite-derived time, with indirect benefits in curbing illegal attempts to disrupt network services.
