Programmes Digital Europe AI, data & cloud Advanced Digital Skills Deployment: Best use of technologiesThe evaluation of proposals submitted to the first wave of calls (November 2021-February 2022) under the Digital Europe programme has been completed.
The European Commission recently informed the applicants about the evaluation results for their proposals. It is expected that grant agreements will be signed by 22 November 2022.
In total, 11 consortia with Flemish participants have been chosen to negotiate grant agreements with the Commission; a twelfth consortium with a Flemish organisation as participant is on the reserve list. Only two consortia with Flemish participants have no chance of receiving funding in this round of calls. The winning consortia submitted proposals for different sectoral data spaces, AI and data infrastructures, digital skills training programmes and projects applying digital technologies in different sectors.
The next Digital Europe calls are expected to open by the end of September 2022.

EURHISFIRM - Long-term data for Europe
EURHISFIRM designs a world-class research infrastructure (RI) to connect, collect, collate, align, and share detailed, reliable, and standardized long-term financial, governance, and geographical data on European companies. EURHISFIRM enables researchers, policymakers, and other stakeholders to develop and evaluate effective strategies to promote investment, economic growth and job creation. The RI provides the tools for long-term analysis highlighting the dynamics of the past and the way those dynamics structure our present and future.
The EURHISFIRM European project received € 3.4 million in financing from the European Commission through the H2020-INFRADEV-2017-1 research infrastructures call. The project started with a consortium of eleven research organisations (including University of Antwerp) from seven European countries.
