Procurement: Technical Specifications for the Local Digital Twins (LDTs) Toolbox
The European Commission has opened a call for tender for the Procurement of the Technical Specifications for the Local Digital Twins (LDTs) Toolbox.
The aim of this procurement is to define the technical specifications of this Local Digital Twin (LDT) Toolbox. Economic operators interested in this call are invited to submit a tender via the electronic submission system (e-Submission) available from the TED e-Tendering website.
In order to propose the technical specifications of the LDT toolbox to be later developed and deployed (see DIGITAL workprogramme 2021-2022, section 2.2.1.2.3), this procurement needs to:
- map the relevant EU-based tech providers,
- gather via wide consultation the functional requirements for this toolbox,
- propose and validate a concept design and deployment scenarios under which to be deployed,
- draft the detailed technical specifications based on the preferred scenario and, finally,
- propose and validate a plan for large-scale adoption the of toolbox across the EU.
The reason for purchasing this work is to make the best possible set of tools and their technical specs for the toolbox procurement, prepared by a relevant consortium, given that this expertise is not easily available in house.

The Project SeafoodTomorrow is a project that is approved within the call BG-08-2017: Innovative sustainable solutions for improving the safety and dietary properties of seafood.
The three-year SeafoodTomorrow project brings together 34 partners. From Flanders, ILVO takes part in the project.They are responsible for setting up two databases which are the central point of the project to gather all the project data from analysis and assessement. ILVO is also leader of the workpackage dealing with authenticity, traceability and labelling. ILVO is also involved a the workpackage about novel food preparation. And in the managerial part, ILVO is head of the IPC- Intellectual Property Comité.
