The EDF Info Days 2025 will take place on 2-3 April in hybrid format in Brussels and online.

The publication of the EDF 2025 calls for proposals as well as the opening of registrations for the Info Days will take place in a few weeks. Meanwhile, please mark your calendar!

This event is aimed at potential applicants from public and private entities established in the EU Member States and Norway. Further information on eligibility for EDF funding is provided on the EDF webpage (section “Am I eligible for funding?”).

The event format will be similar to the one of last year. During the first day, DG DEFIS staff will present the EDF 2025 calls for proposals and explain the submission process. During the second day, the event will provide a unique international networking opportunity to form defence R&D consortia and elaborate project proposals through thematic pitch sessions.

The second day will also feature a “EU Defence Investor Day” where leading innovators, investors, EU and government representatives will come together to explore funding opportunities in key defence technologies.

SAPHIRe - Securing the Adoption of Personalised Medicin in Regions

The Department of Economy, Science and Innovation of the Flemish government coordinates the Horizon 2020 Coordination and Support Action SAPHIRe, which started on 1 December 2018. The aim of the project is to secure the adoption of personalised medicine in all European regions, including sparsely populated and remote regions and regions with different innovation capacities.

The activities of SAPHIRe are complementary to the smart specialisation partnership on personalised medicine – S3P4PM, which is also coordinated by the Department of Economy, Science and Innovation.
