Research infrastructures info day 2023 calls
Horizon Europe’s Research Infrastructures actions support the development of an integrated, inter-operable and effective ecosystem of Research Infrastructures and Technology Infrastructures in Europe. The info day will focus on the 2023 calls of the Work programme 2023-2024, for its different destinations:
- INFRADEV – Developing, consolidating and optimising the European research infrastructures landscape, maintaining global leadership
- INFRASERV – RI services to support health research, accelerate the green and digital transformation, and advance frontier knowledge
- INFRATECH – Next generation of scientific instrumentation, tools, methods, and advanced digital solutions for RIs
targeting the development of the next generation of scientific instrumentation, tools, methods, and advanced digital solutions for Research Infrastructures - INFRAEOSC – Enabling an operational, open and FAIR European Open Science Cloud ecosystem
In addition, the Info day will offer horizontal information on the submission, evaluation and management of the 2023 Research Infrastructures calls.

RUSTICA - Converting organic residues into bio-based fertiliser products
The RUSTICA project obtained funding under Horizon 2020, more in particular under the topic ‘Closing nutrient cycles’. RUSTICA focuses on demonstration and implementation of circular bio-based nutrient valorisation chains, focusing on waste from the fruit and vegetable agro-food system. The project kicked off in 2021 and will run until 2024. It will use a strong multi-actor approach to co-create both socio-economic and technological knowledge in four case study regions in Europe and one in Colombia. The Flanders-based company DRANCO is one of the project partners and acts as technical project manager for the entire project. DRANCO participates in the project to develop its own technologies, to network and to help make the transition to a more circular based economy.
