Upcoming info days and brokerage events – Horizon Europe 2024 call topics and project implementation

The European Commission and/or its agencies organise info days on the 2024 call topics in the Horizon Europe work programme 2023-2024 and these are often complemented by brokerage events, organised by National Contact Point (NCP) networks and the Enterprise Europe Network (EEN), where connections can be made with potential collaboration partners.

An overview of the upcoming info days and brokerage events:

  • Cluster 2 Culture, Creativity and Inclusive Society: info day on 18 October 2023, brokerage event on 19 October 2023 and pre-proposal check event on 8 November 2023
  • Cluster 4 Digital, Industry and Space: info days on 11 and 12 October 2023, brokerage event Digital on 16 and 17, Space on 18 and Industry on 19 October 2023
  • Cluster 5 Climate, Energy, Mobility: Info day on 17 October 2023 and brokerage event on 18 October 2023

Info days and/or brokerage events of Cluster 1 Health and Cluster 3 Civil security for society have taken place already in June and of Cluster 6 Food, Bioeconomy, Natural Resources, Agriculture and Environment in September.

Several other national or regional brokerage events are organised which allow participants from abroad or other regions. These are included in the NCP Flanders event calendar, e.g. Brokerage event on Cluster Health and Innovative Health Initiative organised by the UK NCPs.

Methylomic – Hope & Improved outcomes for Crohn’s disease patients across Europe

The METHYLOMIC project, ‘targeting hope for personalised medicine in immune-mediated inflammatory diseases’ obtained funding from Horizon Europe’s Health Cluster. The project aims to personalise treatment allocation and enhance the effectiveness of medications for chronic immune-mediated diseases such as Crohn’s disease, rheumatoid arthritis, and psoriasis. BIRD, the Belgian inflammatory bowel disease research and development group, is a partner in the project and is involved in the OmiCrohn trial, a prospective randomised clinical trial for individualised therapy in Crohn’s disease patients. With BIRD’s active role in this trial, the project is set to deliver predictive, biomarker-based therapies that bring renewed hope for Crohn’s disease patients across Europe.
